DriveMint Updates
Every release, and the promise that never changes: your data stays on your phone.
Version 1.6.0July 2026
Your progress, everywhere you look.
DriveMint's biggest update yet: your drive on the Lock Screen, a home-screen progress widget, a projected finish date, sunset-accurate night hours, and full backup — all without a single account, ad, or trip to the cloud.
- Lock Screen & Dynamic Island — Start a drive and a live timer follows you to the Lock Screen and Dynamic Island, counting while your phone stays locked and in your pocket. Glance and go — no unlocking the app at a red light. (Requires iOS 16.2+.)
- Home-screen widget — Add the DriveMint widget and see a progress ring toward your state's required hours at a glance, with your night-hours line underneath. It refreshes automatically every time you log a drive.
- Projected finish date — DriveMint reads your practice pace over the last four weeks and projects when you'll hit your state's total-hours requirement — turning “how many hours left?” into a real target month.
- Sunset-accurate night hours — Nighttime minutes now count against the real local sunrise and sunset for the day and place you drove, computed entirely on your device — so your log stands up to a DMV clerk.
- Backup & restore — Export all of your drives, supervisors, and profiles to a single file you control — Files, email, your own cloud drive — and restore it in seconds on a new phone. Free for everyone.
- Also improved — Dark-mode polish across state details, progress, and profile screens; stricter validation on imported QR drives; more accurate background GPS distance; on-device permit-photo optimization; plus timezone-correct dates and a long list of reliability fixes.
As always: no accounts, no ads, no cloud. Your driving data never leaves your phone.
